He Is Risen

I recently found this super cute Crazy Train baseball tee at Farm Girl Mercantile – isn’t it adorable!? Love the vibrant Spring colors, the floral-printed church and, most importantly, the message.

He is risen. We hear this a lot during the Easter season, but what does it mean? It means that Jesus died for my sin (and yours). It means that He did not stay dead. It means that Jesus is very much alive and offers the gift of salvation to all who accept. Friends, I’m not perfect. Far from it, actually. Do I still mess up? Oh, yeah. Do I still worry? Absolutely. Am I immune from tragedy? Nope. But I can tell you that I cannot imagine a life without Jesus. With Jesus, I have hope. I have a peace that passes understanding. When I find myself worrying, I can talk to my Heavenly Father and He will take my burden. I am the daughter of a King.

The awesome thing about God’s grace is that He meets you where you are. You can be saved today, right this moment, there in the quietness of your own home or wherever you may be. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done in the past. It doesn’t matter how you’re currently living your life. God’s love does not discriminate and His salvation is not withheld from anyone. Here’s the story:

We Are All Sinners
Romans 3:23 – We have all sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Eternal Life Is A Free Gift – but it did come at a price, which has been paid in full by Jesus
Romans 6:23 – The payment for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We Must Trust & Surrender
Romans 10:9-10 – If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Our Assurance of Salvation
Romans 10:13 – Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Prayer for Salvation
I know I’m a sinner, Lord. Please forgive me of all my sins. I believe that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Please come into my heart. Thank you for saving me! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Did you say the prayer above? Did you mean it? Then it’s done. God is not a liar, and His word never returns void. And the best part? You can’t ever lose your salvation, no matter how many times you fall (because, friend, you will fall). In John 10:28-29 Jesus says, ” I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

I hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend!
